Energy Heroes LLC ("Energy Heroes," "we," "us") is a commercial energy brokerage. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you ask us for a business rate comparison, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you use the form on our website, we collect:
- Contact information: your business name, your name, your email address, and, if you choose to give it, your mobile phone number.
- Bill files: the photos or PDFs of the electric and/or gas bills you upload. These usually show your account number, service address, usage, and current rate.
- Your choices: whether you authorized us to request pricing and usage information, and whether you asked us to text you.
We only serve commercial (business) accounts. Please do not send residential bills.
How we use it
We use your information only to prepare and explain energy supply quotes for your business, and to contact you about those quotes. If you checked "Text me about my quote," we may text you about your quote. You can reply STOP at any time to stop texts.
Who we share it with
To prepare your quotes, we share your information only with:
- Our processing partner, which handles pricing requests and contract paperwork for us; and
- Energy suppliers that serve your area, so they can price your account(s).
They may use it only for that purpose. Asking for a quote does not enroll you with any supplier.
We also use a small number of service providers to run this website and deliver your request to us by email (for example, our web hosting and email delivery companies). They handle your information only to provide those services to us.
We never sell your information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we need it to prepare quotes and serve your account, or as required by law. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see below).
How to ask us to delete your information
Email jamie@energyheroes.nyc with the subject "Delete my information" and include your business name and email address. We will delete your information from our records and ask our processing partner to do the same, except for anything we are required by law to keep. You may also ask us for a copy of what we have.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of sending or storing information online is 100% secure, so please contact us if you have any concerns.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
